CYCLE to LOURDES 2026 - 28th March to 3rd April 2026

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A CHALLENGE? Then look no further. Take out your bike and start training for a weeklong Cycle in France, from Paris to Lourdes and raise funds for The Irish Pilgrimage Trust. The Funds raised provide much needed supported holidays in Lourdes and summer breaks in Kilcuan, Clarinbridge to young people with additional needs.

Our Cycle to Lourdes is held every second year. This unique event brings together great people and forges lifelong friendships. Our 2026 Cycle is limited to 90 people including cyclists and support crews.

Everyone participating in the Cycle must raise sponsorship and separately pay their own fare. The funds raised pay for the young peoples pilgrimage holidays while our team of volunteers who support and care for the young people also pay their own fares. This ensures that maximum value is derived from the funds raised ensuring they go directly to benefit our special young people.

The Trust is primarily funded by our volunteers fundraising activities and by private donations to allow us to serve children and young people with additional needs.

Our first Sponsored Cycle to Lourdes took place in 1984 and quickly became an established biennial event raising much needed funds to help finance The Irish Pilgrimage Trust.
