CYCLE to LOURDES 2026

Cycle in France to raise funds for The Irish Pilgrimage Trust. Funds raised are for the purpose of providing young people with additional needs with volunteer supported holiday breaks to Lourdes and on Summer breaks in Kilcuan.

Our Cycle to Lourdes is a very unique event and always attracts a great group of individuals. Why not take on the challenge to train for and participate in this 1,000km long 7-day cycle. Our 2024 Cycle is limited to 90 people inclusive of Cyclists and Support teams.

Everyone participating in the Cycle to Lourdes, Cyclists and Backup teams, raise sponsorship to provide much needed funds for The Irish Pilgrimage Trust. Separately, all Cyclists and Backup teams pay their own fares. The funds raised provide assisted annual holiday pilgrimage trips to children and young people with additional needs. Our wonderful Volunteers, Carers and Medical volunteers pay their own fares. This ensures that maximum value is derived from the funds raised by this event and go directly to benefit our special young people.

The Trust is primarily funded by our volunteers fundraising activities and by private donations to allow us to serve children and young people with additional needs.

Our first Sponsored Cycle to Lourdes took place in 1984 and quickly became an established biennial event raising much needed funds to help finance The Irish Pilgrimage Trust.
